Acıbadem University CASE-Advanced Endoscopic Robotic Surgery Training Center

Acıbadem University -CASE is composed of 3 main centers; i.e. Clinic Simulation Training Center and Advanced Endoscopic / Robotic Surgery Training Center. CASE is one of the world's most comprehensive training centers in its respective field, which aims to increase patient safety and health education quality, using clinic simulation and hands-on training models for training and assessment.

Advanced Endoscopic Robotic Surgery Training Center

CASE is composed of, at an indoor area of 2200 sqm, medical simulation laboratories as well as a fully-fledged operating theater consisting of 9 operating tables for laparoscopic surgery, one robotic surgery training center and a dissection laboratory for a cadaver-based surgical training and laboratories with surgical simulators.

Point suctions are assured from above operating tables through mechanical ventilation, and room entrances are pressurized with clean air, creating air locks. This has prevented air and odor from getting out of the room, making it possible for users to work in a comfortable environment.

Clinic Simulation Center

This center designed at an area of 1800 sqm which is consistent with the real life situations consists of basic training laboratories where various scenario application simulations students of the medical school and all healthcare professionals may encounter such as emergency, ambulance simulator, operating theater, skills laboratories, delivery room, debriefing rooms, home environment simulation room, patient room, nursing simulation laboratory, medicine preparation room, polyclinic, 2 virtual reality laboratories, ultrasound training room, intense care unit, virtual patient simulation laboratories.

CASE makes a difference for both undergraduate and graduate education thanks to its numerous medical simulation methods and its technological infrastructure. Learning space patient simulation center management software and simulators are in use. Owing to the Learning space software, this technological infrastructure is the software system whereby all trainings at the university are being recorded, videos shot can be accessed, students and instructors log into using their own accounts with authorization level and give and evaluate tests. This system can be connected via all simulators and medical devices available at CASE and the simulation that has been taken can be recorded.
