Acıbadem Altunizade Hospital

Acıbadem Altunizade, which has been designed to bring a breath of fresh air to the profile of the Uskudar-Altunizade region, is the first private hospital to have the largest indoor area with a capacity of 350 beds and a surface area of 98.000 square-meters, in not only Istanbul but also the rest of Turkey. The hospital as a LEED-certified, sustainable hospital, in which patient safety and comfort are top priorities, provides examination, diagnosis and treatment procedures that are planned and applied at the same area in many centers and polyclinics. This ensures for patients to save time and be more comfortable.

The hospital building stands out among others as a LEED Gold-certified, sustainable hospital with clean air, which uses energy and water efficiently, acts carefully when using natural resources and avoids harm to the environment.

By means of a concept which was designed specifically for children, the mother and baby-friendly hospital has a comprehensive pediatric clinic that provides services virtually in the same fashion as a pediatric hospital. 

Acıbadem Altunizade is equipped with a “hybrid operating room” system which integrates three different diagnosis units (3 Tesla MRI, 128-Slice CT and Robotic Angiography devices) at the same location and makes it possible for operations in 3 different operating rooms to be performed at the same time while connected to the said units. In addition, operation rooms utilize new ultra clean air technology to bring 34 times fresher air.

Acibadem Altunizade, which integrates environmentally-kind and human-friendly features into the project design and construction, has a Gold certificate in the LEED Healthcare category.
